Jupiter Farms Sheriff's Substation

Sheriff Ed Bieluch invites Jupiter
Farms residents to his Time Out Against Crime celebration at I Dam on Saturday, August 10th at the Sheriff's Office Substation on Jupiter
Farms Road at the former Burt Reynolds Ranch. Refreshments will be provided by the Jupiter
Farms Residents, Inc.
The event will also be the official launch County-wide of the Crime Watch web program developed by Sue and Mike Lopilato. When the Jupiter
Farms Crime Watch website was first introduced, the Sheriff's Department and the Board of County Commissioners, very impressed with the website's ability to quickly and widely disseminate important
information, asked the Lopilato's to structure it in such a way that it would serve the entire County. They will unveil and
demonstrate the new and more comprehensive website at the
meeting. Not only will the website serve all of Palm Beach County, but the program has potential for state and nationwide
applications as well, and could become a vital link in the President's Homeland Security program. In the year that the Jupiter Crime Watch site has been operational, it has developed a good
success ratio. By timely informing residents and receiving their helpful responses, it has been highly effective, resulting in more arrests and aiding in property recovery.
The new site includes areas for the Jupiter Farms Crime Watch, CERT (Community Emergency Response Team), COP (Citizen Observer Patrol) both motor and horseback, and other community programs. Check out the. website at www.CrimeWatchAmerica.com.
In addition to having access to constantly updated announcements on the website, as more residents enroll in the local Jupiter
Farms Crime Watch program, alerts can be Emailed to residents. Residents can get
information on any of these community programs, and can sign up as members that evening.
This will be a truly family-oriented day. Parents, if you're unsure if your phone has Email capability to receive instant messages from Crime Watch, bring it along and we can guide you in getting your phone Email ready if it is possible. Your child will be able to be fingerprinted and there will also be a robot teaching children about safety.
